Seems excessive  - is that rate of wear normal on 20" Bridgestone Duellers?

My Nov 2021 RX had the plates fitted in September. It’s also done 12k miles, all by me. Front tyres 5.8 - 6.3 mm, rear 6.8 - 7mm remains. Front brakes 5% worn, rear 10% worn. 

The only difference is that my RX is running on the Dunlop SportMaxx rather than Bridgestone.

That would suggest to me tracking / wheel alignment may not be optimised.

I have the Dunlop SportMaxx, at 20k miles fronts are still over 4mm and rears at 6mm with very even wear.

Thanks for that. I’m surprised the dealer didn’t mention tracking - just a price - £238 per tyre- which I declined.

Like Andrew, that smacks to me of wheel balance, maybe alignment/tracking too.

Find a local independent tyre specialist (preferably not Halfords or Kwik-Fit!) who knows what they're doing. Tracking/alignment should cost around £40-£50 tops.

BTW ... your Duelers are Summer tyres (and expensive ones at that!) so should be giving you at least 15k miles, probably more IMHO. But then it's also down to how you drive.

Update: I took the car to a local independent tyre supplier this week that I have used for over 15 years and they confirmed there was wear on the inside of the front tyres, especially on the driver's side.  I swapped the tyres front to back (same side obvs) and got them to do the balancing and alignment.  £39.  Car is due its first MOT in the next month, and I expect there will be an advisory (hopefully not a fail).

I currently have 4x Goodyear Vector 4 Season tyres fitted to my 2013 RX 450h F Sport and so far they have been rock solid, I have not driven the Lexus in snow to date, but they have been brilliant in the wet. I did however have a few sets of the same tyres on my previous car a Seat Altea Freetrack AWD and they were exemplary and didn’t miss a beat in all weather conditions including heavy snow in France and Holland, this assured and prompted me to put them on my Lexus and as they are classed as winter spec tyres I don’t run into any issues on the continent where the winter spec is mandatory in winter. I hope this helps with your tyre choice.
