Changing the stock lights to the optional/upgraded4 LED ones

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a used, very nice 2019  NX300h. The car doesn't have the upgraded front lights and I was wondering if it is possible to swap them for the upgraded 4 LED ones my self. Is it just a matter of replacing them or do you need to do something else as well, like software calibration or registering the upgraded lights to the car (like on some of the German cars)?

Appreciate any insight and thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer to your question but it might be worth taking a look at the latest Car Care Nut video on YouTube where somebody got a $750 bill after fitting after-market lights to their vehicle.

Be careful!

Insurers count it as a modification. If you don't tell them and have an accident...............?

Very good advice. The insurers will use any excuse to weasel out of their responsibilities.

It's not easy swap, the wiring are different.

I have NX F sport and my wife NX Luxury, the headlight wiring are different and it's not easy swap.
