IS220D Acceleration Problem

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have an IS220D. the car has been good to me but with one strange problem.

It seems to jerk under acceleration at specific rpm in every gear. The car would accelerate up to 2500 rpm and then jerk again at 3000rpm. What is even stranger is that it doesn't do it every time I fully accelerate but when it does, its those said rpms exactly. The jerk is more like a sudden power cut for a millisecond and then the power is there again. It doesn't go into limp mode.

I've cleaned out the egr valve but no difference. I've tried injector cleaner but no difference.

Have you checked fuel filter? Also could be some sensor problem where it occasionally reads something wrong and you get drop in power, but generally speaking intermittent problems are the hardest ones to diagnose.
