Bonnet clip broken/missing

Recommended Posts

Looking for advice please.  My son has been given my late dad’s 2002 Lexus IS200. The clip in the bonnet is missing and there is a piece of wire to keep the bonnet open.
He’s had lots of work done to get the car serviced, new timing belt, power steering belts & fluid etc and plans to add skirts and detailing so seems a shame not to get this replaced.

When I look on eBay I can only find the clip to keep the rod in place when the bonnet is down (I think) and part links on other chats have expired.  Can anyone share an eBay link of the part I need that sits in the bonnet.
thank you.

Hello Kirsty and welcome to the LOC.

Are these the parts your Son needs circled in the picture?
If yes I can give you the part numbers from Lexus which will cost around £50.00 or a cheaper option would be to find a breaker ( eBay) and get the parts used.
