2019 Lexus RX450h 12v Starter Battery

Recommended Posts

Ive seen a lot of threads on this topic.
Ive just purchased a new 12v starter Battery for our RX450h 2019 from Lexus. In fact its badged as a Toyota the Part number is L28800-YZZZA for the sum of £121.99 in Vat.
You can for this yourself from within the boot. However please note:
If the boot is a power boot it will not shut after changing the 12v Battery, without manually applying pressure on the boot lid and closing ,manually. The auto open options both on the key and within the car will not operate as you will have an yellow warning on the dash “PKSB” Parking Support Break Function none operational (car symbol with a star above tailgate and a triangular object behind the tailgate).

If this happens then close the boot manually with care and take the car for a 2/5min drive and it will clear which will re-enable all the boot operational functions.

You may have other personal preferences in the car set-up to also re-set to default however simply re-set as you prefer. Alternatively try to keep a 12v supply to the vehicle while you change the 12v Battery.

Ohh additionally i read that Lexus only offer a 1yr warranty, however on purchase i was advised it has 3yrs.

Hope this helps.

As mentioned in the owner's handbook ...

■When reconnecting the 12-volt Battery
To enable the power back door to operate
properly, close the power back door manually.
