How to stop climate control hogging the screen?

Does anyone know how to stop the following (in our 2021 UX300e):

When using wired Android Auto and using an app (e.g. Google Maps), when making a change to the climate control (e.g. turning the temperature down on the passenger side), the temperatures and other info appear on about 75% of the screen for about 5 seconds, thereby hiding the Android Auto text and blocking the map (much to the annoyance of the driver!).

Can the text be changed to only take up the top of the screen (the way the fan speed does), or change the setting to either not display, or only display for a much shorter time?

I know the workaround is to not touch the climate control whilst using the map, but I hope there is a setting to change instead.
