Hi, do you know if the rz Takumi has daytime running lights? Had my car a few weeks and the lights don't come on during the daytime so not sure if it has daytime lights or not. Also when I lock/unlock the car should the headlights come on automatically? Again this does not happen so not sure if it's something I need to change it the setting? My last car was the Peugeot e2008 and when you lock the car the headlights come on for a set amount of time which I really liked and thought the lexus would of had this

Many thanks

DRLs are mandatory on all new cars from 2012ish.

Maybe they only come on when the car is out of Park?

There will be a setting in the system to enable headlights coming on unlocking. On my RX one has to push the headlamp stalk forward immediately after switching the car off for them to come for 20sec, a see you home function..

Thank you, just went and had a look and the daytime running light are working but not when the car is in park.  And also pulling back the on the stalk activates the see you home function.

I guess the only thing is the lights don't come on when you unlock the car from the fob

Two snippets from the RX manual that underscores your message that the DRLs operate when moving from Park. Hopefully this is the same case with your RZ. The second shows that welcome lights should come on in dark conditions if lights are left in Auto mode.

According to the manual by default the ‘welcome lights’ should come on when you unlock but only if it’s dark - which seems sensible.

Yes you're right, the welcome lights work but only when it's dark outside, silly me was trying it in the daytime! Ha
