Has anyone fitted 20" rims on a GS 300 Sports MK II or seen it on such a GS?

A bunch of guys in the US have 'em.

I really like Adrians car (bluelex), some pics.

personaly - I think its a bit too big for the car - 19s are probably a nicer size

the car above is also lowered on Tein CS coilovers, so is lower than standard too - a bit too low for my liking, especially at the front.

I am waiting on 20" spinners to be delivered for my MKII Sports GS300 today and I am wondering whether I made a bad decision. The choices I saw in 20s were much better than the 19s.

doesn't sound like you made a bad decision then.

its only MY opinion that 20" is a bit too big, and you are not buying them to make me happy :D

as long as you like 'em ;)

What suspension do you have mate?

Would imagine 20" wheels on standard suspension would look strange - would be too high.

have you lowered the car?

I have not lowered it, but as it is Sports I am hoping the 18mm lowering at the factory is enough

The guy i bought my 18" sport wheels off had put 20" rims on a MK2 sport. Looked good and had left the suspension standard. Only thing was he had to loose the front inner wheel arches to get full lock. He did in the end get the front arches rolled as they rubbed a little when going over speed bumps but not when cornering on roundabout's etc.

hope this helps.

I have put the 20 "" rims on the MK II GS 300. They fitted quite easily. However due to the inner design of the rims I had to put 3mm spacers on the front wheels to stop the caliper rubbing on the inside of the rim. The tyres are 225/30/20s.

There is nothing wrong with the turning circle and it looks really bad.

Sorry there is no pictures as yet as it is the first time I will be putting a picture of my car on the website I want it to be really clean, sparkling and fresh so I will wait until i clean it on the wekend.

I usually get looks from other people when I am driving or parked but since putting these rism on the car it has taken it to a horrific level.

I think everyone shoudl put 20"s on the GS 300 it fits easily and nice and you would not notice the difference whilst driving apart form big holes in the road and the poeple looking at your car.

The pictures will be worth waiting for.

One of the spinners was scratched so the dealer returned it and I shoudl have that tomorrow. All the attention the car has gotten is without spinners on it, so far!!

I have now got the pictures, all ready, of the rims and of the car with the 20" spinners but I have had to make enquiries on how to get it on the website. Alternatively if there is anyone out there who have the ability to put pictures on this forum could they please give me their email address. I will then email them the pictures and they can upload it to the forum for me.

thanks to anyone who sees this and can help.

not my cup of tea I'm afraid - not a fan of chrome or spinners

but - they do fill the arches nicely, and I don't think you need to lower it mate (I was a bit worried that bigger wheels on stock suspension may make the car look a bit high of the road).

whats on your fule cap mate? is that an (L) logo?

nice colour, and nice and shiny too B)

I got the boot badge for the lexus and stuck it on the fuel flap. The rims i think look better without the spinners when it is parked but once you start to drive it with the spinnesr on it becomes really crazy.
