Bulbs, Main And Sidelight

Recommended Posts

Main,light=9006, 55w, blue bodies 6000k 'hid'

Side lights= blue.

less than a tenner each for a pair

to replace main headlight....

find red bulb holder body, twist whole body firmly, pull out. Look at 'L' shape, and notice an integral clip on this bulb housing. With a fingernail, push down on edge, bulb can now be released. Slot new bulb back in, then note that hosuing has 3 flanges which fit back into light housing only one way (it has 2 bigger flanges and 1 smaller one), twist to lock.

to replace sidelights....

locate grey bulb housing which is higher up than all the others.

Do not try and remove half the housing!

Holding the entire housing between thumb and forefinger and twist a quarter turn firmly, it should come out easily. With a clean cloth pull the bulb out and replace with new bulb (has 2 paperclip-like connectors). Put bulb housing back into light body, and twist 1/4 turn back to lock.

Now if lexus could work on somewhere to store faffy little bits in the engine bay, then i wouldn`t have had to waste 15 mins trying to retrieve a bulb that fell into the engine bay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tsktsk:
