Clutch

Recommended Posts

Hi there. Whilst driving recently, have noticed when changing low gears normal driving speed, when clutch is pressed in the engine carries on reving for a short while. Thought there was a problem with the clutch slipping, took it to the garage, mechanic checked it over and said clutch ok. He told me to turn air conditioning off and see if it still happened. Drove home, 5 miles with AC off and it didn't happen. Has anyone else noticed this? :D

My clutch tends to slip in the wet when I'm applying power, the revs go up to 4k and then sort of stutter while it thinks about it, doesn't seem to bad in the dry.

Due to the mods I have I do notice that the car does seem to increase the revs slightly when I push the clutch in as I get a momentary increase in the whine of the engine, it sounds quite funny to bystanders! No idea what causes that!
