Aircon Unit Front Panel

Recommended Posts

The panel around the digital clock display and aircon adjustment knobs was scratched when I bought it.

I can get hold of another for £20,is this a good price and how easy is it to fit?

My car is 51 plate IS300,panel I can get is from 04 IS200,I assume they are the same?

Thanks

You need to remove the vent assembly above the unit, do this by removing the lint tray if you have one, there should be two screws underneath it, then pull it out, you have to give it a go tug. This will expose two bolts securing the frame which holds the aircon & radio. You need to remove the panel holding the heated seat buttons to access the lower bolts (just reach underneath and give it a tug). Undo the upper and lower bolts, remove the whole assembly, fairly straight forward from there. Be VERY carful not to scratch your dash.. you would be advised to run masking tape down both sides of the console to avoid scratches.
