A friend is buying a new mini one and wants a tracker and knows nowt!

I can look through the ads and advise on what the ads say, but personal referring is always the best so...

Any thoughts on (as the title says) best/worst/cheapest/most expensive?

Anyone actually had one used to retrieve a car (or not!!)? How well did it work?

Might be worth checking on;

1. If it gives any benefit on insurance...mate had one in car he bought, insurance company won't give any discount so never activated.

2. Do you really want a car back once stolen ?? ...personally I'd say no.

3. Heard that car's generally only get stolen by the keys getting taken so look after them and generally ok. Imobilisers on most cars (inc BMW/Mini) are pretty steal proof.
