The lamentable problem wit the highway code is that it expects all drivers to adhere to it perfectly. Hence when it sets forth rules such as not needing to signal when returning to an inside lane, it does so expecting those people to LOOK before moving over. The truth of the matter is that many don't and therefore a signal is always helpful.

Does anyone else get that instinctive feeling when you approach another driver (especially on the motorways), that you know they are about to do something potentially dangerous and stupid?

My, I am having a rant about this.

My pet hate is drivers on B roads who don't indicate to pull out to overtake........but after overtaking......then indicate to pull in....???

It's a two lane road, did they think i thought they were going to continue driving on the wrong side....MUPPETS
