"h" Srew Cap Near Headlight?

Recommended Posts

Ah Right thanks, if it is the aircon? is it a do it yourself to refill?

I don't think so mate, think you have to take it to a dealer or an specialist air con place. Haven't had to do mine yet, not even sure how you know it needs a recharge, is it just that it blows cold all the time, no heat at all.

It seems to work fine as far as I can tell, its just a 99 V Reg with 80,000 on the clock. So I thought it might be in need of a gas change? or along them lines.

You should be able to tell if it needs recharging if it's not blowing that cold even when it's set to the coldest setting. It should chill the air. Additionally, if you notice a bad odor coming from the aircon it's usually because it hasn't been on enough, in which case you need the whole system flushing.

easiest way to check, see the grey cap, with H on it, (which is the schraeder valve for the High pressure side) there is a little round viewing window, if you can see bubbles in the gas, then it needs a re-charge.

however at that age, id get it done anyway......
