Is250 Aircon Not Auto Starting

Since yesterday, the aircon system in my 1.5 week old IS250 does not start up after the car is started. Instead, the front windshield lamp flashes for 20 seconds. During that time, I cannot manually start the a/c system, but only afterwards.

Functionality seems normal, but I suspect it should start automatically. It did until yesterday.

I cannot find any explanation in the manual of what the flashing light means.

Has anyone encountered this, or does anyone know what it means?

By your right knee (I think) there is a small button for the windscreen wiper defrost - is that pressed in (i.e. on)?

Mine does not do this, the only difference between oiler and petrol is that the oiler has no auto re-circ, so all should be the same...

Try that, else take into the dealers...

The cars have so many buttons, you never know what you've bug :shutit: red up by pressing them...

They need a "Factory Reset" button which automatically resets everything...

Would a reset to default button mean that those unfortunate enough to have had a dashboard rattle and had it fixed by a dealer, would they get it back again?

It would keep the service department busy.... :winky: you wouldn't want the workshop to look like the Carlesberg complaints office now would you?
