Side Repeater Lights

Recommended Posts

Evening guys.

I fitted some amber LED's to my side repeaters recently and will soon be doing all the rest of the lights but the yellow plastic insert of the unit behind the clear lense which gives the 'fried egg' look is what I wanna remove. I don't wanna start and break it if it's not meant to come off. - I thought it was the bulb giving the fried egg effect but it's still there with the non coloured LED. Plus grime gets under the edges of the clear lense and I'd like to clean it anyway.

Has anyone removed theirs with enough ease ? - Is there a good way to do it ? Thanks in advance for any advice :)

I seem to recall someone managed it but didn't recommend it. It is much easier to buy the side repeaters from an LS430 - they fit the IS perfectly and there is no orange in it whatsoever.

Do a search - it's been covered loads of times before...
