Hi can some1 tell me if i replace the the exhaust pulley with a new 1. That this will sort the variable valve timing on my car. As the exhaust pulley is wobbling when u rev the car.

Or does any1 know how 2 sort the variable valve timing on these cars. I heard from Chris at Hyper sports that this is quite a common fault with the Altezza RS200.

Cheers ppl

The pulley may appear to wobble, but it did this from the day i bought the car, i think its normal (very very slight wobble)

As for the VVTi operation. Little goes wrong with them pulley, unless of course it has been tampered with. If you take the gears apart its a total pig to put back together. Make sure the cam gears all line upto key holes. Its advisable at any point to make markings before u attempt to disassemble the pulley (you don't have to do this to remove camshafts btw :winky: )

Its only a common fault if when its taken apart its not aligned up right.

Mine runs fine, and i've had it apart fully :)
