Right,

I had a deep scratch on the rear bumper which i touched up with some touchup paint. It now looks worse than the scratch. It won't polish out.

Has anyone got any tips on how to 'blend' it in to the bodywork.

I've got some t-cut, but i don't want to make it look even worse.

Please help. :crybaby:

I take it you've filled the scratch with the touch up paint so that it stands slightly proud of the surrounding paintwork..(with a clear coat for the last couple of touches if your car is clear coated). Let it harden for 24 hours or more, and use 800 or 1000 grit (wet) on a flat rubber to cut back the coat to blend before using the T-Cut, or better still a scratch polish with a mechanical polisher to finish off.

I got a scratch shortly after getting my GS300 it looks like a key or a tesco trolley

I used this stuff, as it came very recommended

Being honest its really amazing stuff, a little elbow grease and I just didnt believe the results, just a word of warning, if you use the ultra fine rubbing paper be gentle as it is very very easy to go just that boit to far and show the basecoat

For the really deep bits, do it 2 or 3 times and build it up, rather than only trying the once

From reading the forums/internet I bought some Scratch X and used it yesterday. While it polished up the paintwork nicely it didn't really do much for the scratches.

I'm a bit worried about using this other stuff though, don't want to make it worse. I have ordered some touch up paint though and will give it a go when it arrives, otherwise a call to Chips Away!
