Just played the demo of this.

total pants.

they seem to have taken a massive step backwards on handling since NFS:MW (which in itself was far from the best handling model out there). i can only presume that they handed on the dev of this to another studio.

i know there were a few NFS:MW fans on here - take my advise and avoid this one.

I have been waiting for the new one to come out, and saw an ad for it last night -was off to get it today.

hmmm i have been playing this since downloading it to my 360..

I think it seems fine. More real than the last one.

Plus dont forget its a pre-release version with plenty of bugs and a serious lack of adjustability becuase its free!!

Horses for courses, I guess. I found it sluggish and it didn't really convey any sense of speed. And the second level with the drift race was horrid IMHO - the drifts just seemed to happen automatically at every corner without you initiating them in any way.

I know it's a pre-release demo but they had a (fairly) solid handling model with MW so to take a step back on that just seems wierd and worrying for the finished product.

(Also they've gone back to CG characters for the story - i kinda liked the cheesy Sin-City-esque characters on MW.)
