Aristo Tt Subwoofer Seal Gone And Crackling

Hi Matt,

Not worth resealing mate, better off replacing. I went for the Kenwood "Open" Air Sub 12" in mine and also added an Alpine 200W Boxed Sub for the extra bass. What you'll have to keep an eye out for, is the depth of the new sub in the parcel shelf. If the new sub is too deep, it will not fit in due to the filter unit underneath

Hope this helps

BR

Paul

Thanks Paul. That is brilliant. Where can I get that sub from? What is the make and model number? Or perhaps you can point to a website where I can get it from? Thanks. I live in Bournemouth. Would any ICE electrician be able to fit it in for me as I do not know much about ICE.

I did a search for open air kenwood sub but lots of stuff comes up. Which one exactly should I get and will it fit ok? Thanks Paul

Thanks mate

Matt

Got mine from Halfords, (Kenwood Elec KFCW300) doesn't matter about the make though, so long as the depth and size fits OK, any ICE Disti would be able to fit it if they offer the service.

You could always PM "Mr Singh" as he owns his own ICE Company and would most likely beat any of the local sellers for price and could give you better advice than me aswell.

This basically what I'm running in mine, gives good low end bass without blasting the outside world to piece's -

ICE - Alpine CDM9807RB Head Unit, Alpine 400-Watt Amp, 400W- Alpine 12 Sub", 300W Kenwood Sub, 70W 7" Mini Sub Speakers in Each Door. Full AV system with 10 Disc DVD changer and TV.

First of all thank you very much for your help mate. It is truly appreciated. Mr Singh sounds good? Would he come to Bournemouth? I have Pm'd him as you said. I just checked the Halfords website out and they do not seem to do it. I might pop in there today just in case they have one and also to give the Aristo TT a spin! :-)

Is this the Kenwood sub that wud fit in the middle of the parcel shelf in place of the old sub that sits there that is broken?

Bit confused on the depth size, the measurements say 16", a bit deep. Hopefully they mean 16cm, cos thats the size in depth you need, if 16cm, then the sub will fit

Not sure if Mr Singh will travel all the way down to Bournemouth as he lives in MK,Bucks
