What Tyres Did You Get For Your Is?

I got 17" Toyo Proxes R32's for my IS250SE

The ride on my car has been quite rough and choppy, and the Lexus engineer I spoke to about this said he'd never seen an IS come with that make of tyre, neither had his colleague.

He said he'd seen them come with either Bridgestone or Dunlops.

So what did you guys get? And what do you know/think of this particular Toyo?

Cheers

Neil

I switched from Bridgestones to Toyo Proxes T1-R's on my IS250SE-L and don't regret it at all. The grip has increased, the road noise reduced, and the ride's not rough at all. :)

Not sure what you mean by R32's....take a look at http://www.toyo.co.uk/productdetail.php?id...mp;product_id=2

The T1-R's replaced the T1-S's has the roadholding in the wet wasn't exactly optimum.

Also worth reading Crispy's post yesterday on road noise.....

Think this question has been asked a million times....try using the search function..... :winky:

I did search before i posted, losts of posts of T1-R but no mention of any Toyo 'R32', which is why I'm asking if anyone else had them fitted on a IS SE....well....anyone else??

Well I came across this too:

http://www.toyo.co.uk/uploads/car%20tyre%20brochure%2006.pdf

If you look at page 10, top right hand corner they are mentioned there as OEM on the IS220d/250 SE. Anyone else get the R32?

Don't know anyone else that has the Toyo R32's. The ride on my car was a little strange on the standard Bridgestone Potenza's when it was first delivered, but after checking the tyre pressures with a proper digital gauge (not the petrol station or sliding type 'pen' gauges) found quite a variation. Also had the geometry checked and adjusted by Tony Bones of WIM (with original 17" rims and tyres) which totally changed the ride and handling, so it may not just be the tyres you have.
