hello

On my 97 es300, when driving at less than 40mph, when i hit a bump i hear a rattle from the front end. I do not hear it a higher speeds. the rattle can come from either the left or the right side of the car. if I was to discribe it (actually this is what my wife said). "It sounds like something is loose, just go under there and tighten it"

thanks for any suggestions

First place to look is the manifold sheild. You will need to get under the car. Quite common in alot of cars and I had the same problem.. it will get worse and worse and end up driving you mad. I had mine taken off.

that is the first place anyway.

I have a 98...I heard a rattle that I thought was comming from the front...after a mechanic put my car on the lift we saw that it was the sway bar mounts in the rear. The rubber had worn out and the sway bar rattled. Get this checked out.
