:shutit: Sorry, accidentally posted this in the GS300 section!!! I need the experts on this one. My Lexus has developed the "Creak", my local garage ( thank you) does not want to spend my money changing parts that do not need it. They gave the ball joints a looking at, but the creaking is still there. Turning, or our wonderful roads here cause it to raise it's ugly head. Can anyone out there help? To me, it's in the left back, but my garage heard it while trying to put it on the ramp, they say especially when turning the steering, which means the front??? Any advice gratefully received.

My dads Merc 190 had the same think, a creak when turning the wheel (when loaded) or driving.

We changed dampers thinking it was those (as car is old) but still there.

Turned out to be the lower wishbone/steering ball joints. You tried spraying them with WD40, letting it get in there, then seeing if any better?

My mechanic actually drilled very small hole in the joints and greased them. No joy, but thanks for the info.

My IS200 along with many others creak when turning at low speeds and the final 'stop' of braking.

Its the pads moving in the calipers...short term fix is copper grease between the pad and caliper housing, do not get the grease between the pad and disc.

My car has been doing this for some time, it stopped for about a month when I had new disc's and pads fitted.

Thanks, mentioned this too, but it has never done this when braking, only minor bumps and turning.
