Ls430 Door Grommits

Hi

I have recently bought an LS430 2005 model and have a question relating to the coverings on the door handle. On my drivers door I have the button I use to lock it from the outside and also a silver circular item on the fixed part of the door handle. I am just wonering if there should be a black rubber cover for this also? Also what is it for?

If you carefully prise it out you will see the key hole for using a key if your Battery goes flat and the smart key won't work, it has a prong of plastic on the back that grips into the key hole, be carefull with it as the plastic is quite soft, managed to get mine out with long fingernails.....mine was silver on my dark blue car so I took it off and painted it with a touch up to match the car.... looks much better now....

So yes I did manage to improve on perfection.........

THanks for th reply. I think I will do the same as my car is black so the silver is quite noticable. It just seems a bit strange that lexus didnt think of putting a cover over this that matches the cars colour. Anyway, if that's all I have to complain about it aint all that bad!
