Stereo Fascia

Guys !

I went to my a store local to get a replacement Fascia for my IS 200 SE, it was £15, so ugly and cheap looking as if it wasn,t finished, i didn't bother, i don't want to order one from e-bay in case it's the same, any ideas where i can get a nice fascia, that goes and looks well.

I also enquired about the by-pass lead , he said it is the same used on a Toyota £10, is that true!

the bypass lead is only available on eBay as far as i know, it's about £30.

The ten pound lead is the same as the toyota MR2 io lead and only fits the S, NOT the SE or Sport,

The fascia do look cheap i'm afriad, but with a bit of work can look better.

I'm sure Woz will be along shortly, he has a walk through on sanding it down and painting it up to look better.

You can also get a fascia from Toyota but its Double DIN only and only has one switch position so you have nowhere to fit the heated seat switches. Click on my sig below to see my registry and a picture of the toyota smooth fascia.

Stereo Facia Adapter, they are not 'Lexus' quality but with some work .... they do the trick

Plus if you have Sat Nav too, you will need an Adapter for that too, as it is all connected, but i don't have a link for that one

I'm in the process of sanding down my facia and spraying it satin black to match the rest of the console, but i think i'll skip the plastic primer. There are times when you need to do a bit of DIY to get the result you want, this is one of them times (unless you can get one done already by another member lol)

Walkthru is under construction, pics alreadydone , just the text to write.

I think I will post a walkthru thread as well as making a word document.

I get sooo many pm's..... can you tell me how you did yours etc lol.

The word documents come in darn handy if you have a pda style phone
