Ok everyone, further to what I explained at the top of the following previous post...

http://lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.p...ST&f=50&t=4568&

.....I took my car to the garage last Friday. A mechanic came out with me to have a listen to the noise I have been noticing. As the little squeaking noise made an apperance, he immediately said that's part of the exhaust rubbing (engine end) and he was definate about it!! I said could anything be done to fix it, he said it happens quite a bit on the IS200's and there isn't anything they can really do about it! However, he said he can have a go at it if I want, but there was no definate chance that the noise/problem could be fixed...???

I just wanted to know if a that sounds right and also has anyone else heard of or experienced such a thing??

Cheers - Neil

Hi Neil, I had something very similar on my 1999 GS300 a couple of years ago. Everytime I set off I could hear like a squeak come rattle sound and it turned out to be the heat shields on the exhausts which Lexus in Bolton fixed under warranty.

Might be the same thing.

Cheers

Glenn
