Air Filters/ Induction Kits Yay Or Nay?

My car is totally standard engine wise, just the normal is200 sport, was wondering if its worth my while putting a filter in or an induction kit?? Will be make a difference?? Noise, mgp and performance???

I've got a drop in K&N Panel Filter in the standard airbox(for S/C IS200),

very little if any noise increase,

very little if any power increase

slightly better mpg IMO

outlasts a standard filter by 10x over (if cleaned & oiled properly).

Induction Kit

deffo noise increase

possibly little power increase (probably only really proven on a dyno before & after fitting same day)

possibly slightly better mpg

I would reccommend an induction kit on pretty much any car!

Usually get better sound and increased throttle response. Save ure pennies, it'll be worth it.

Well done Woz.

I have an HSK mushroom type induction kit spare. Though it will need the actual foam filter to go inside it and you will also need the piping to connect it to the intake.

Not a lot of use to me anymore, replaced it with an A'Pexi. £10 (inc post) if anyone is interested.
