Reprogramming A 3 Button Smart Key Fob

Recommended Posts

I have seen several posts describing reprogramming dead keys. Does anyone know the procedure for programming the 3 button fob for a 2007 IS220D. I have not been able to find the info anywhere :crybaby:

I managed to source a replacement one from eBay to replace a missing one instead of paying the £247 the dealer wanted but sadly it still needs pairing with the car.

Any help gratefully recieved

Thanks

sure the best thing is to go down to your local toyota workshop and talk to one of the guys working there.... you will need one working key and the unprogramed one... slip him 10 quid and he will copy over the info to the blank...... or you can send me both key and i get it done for you here..... i work for toyota....... but im in sweden........

good luck

Hi Jay/Russel,

seeing you gave such a simple answer to the 3 button problem do you have an answer for me, I live in Papua New Guinea, a large island the size of France in the South Pacific, I have a 99 Lexus 400 for which I only have the master 3 button key, i would like to purchase a couple more key blanks, can get them cut here but they tell me without programming the transponder to the car these cannot be used. our nearest dealer is overseas 7000 km away, they tell me they need the car to program the key. Is there any solution to this, I dont mind sending the only key I have away but am told this will not help.

help anyone is there any way without shipping the car 7000km?

cheers

Hi Delta/Jay, did this work out?

I've also picked a key up from eBay for a 2007 IS220D, but my local dealer got all snooty about programming it because of its source. Would it matter if the key had been used previously on another car?

thanks in advance

Hi,

I have an is220d 2006 with wireless entry & need to get a duplicate key programmed. I purchased a spare fob from eBay but I'm bot too sure if the instructions that I've found so far on this forum will be any good as they appear to apply to pre 2005 is models - Please could you tell me if you've had any luck?

Many thanks

Dan
