Is200 Tyre Size

Hi all,

I am having trouble getting hold of the trye I want. Goodyear Eagle Assymetric in size 215/45/17 on standard Lexus 11 spoke 17's.

Would fitting 225/45/17 cause any problems?

Advantage and disadvantages?

If the worst comes to worst will have to find an alternative trye.

Seems to be a big shortage in the standard size.

Those rims were designed specifically for the car, & for tyres of that size to fit the rims...

I'd suggest you ask Tony @ WIM or even see if he can get the tyres for you, but surely you can get them

in the correct size ? Have you tried camskill, tyretraders or blackboots ?

Try: www.event-tyres.co.uk for the Goodyear Eagle f1 asymmetrics. They do them for £109 (215/45/17) each fitted at your home/work at the moment.

F1A's are a good choice- I have them on my car.

Like I said there is a shortage for these tyres guys. I have tried a lot of places, apparently they are on back order...

They came round with GSD3 and said it was a mistake. Then they tell me they are out of stock...

Have you tried the website that I have recommend? They seem to be in stock (according to their website). Why don't you give them a call to find out?

I have mistaken www.event-tyres.co.uk for www.etyres.co.uk. I must have tried at least 30 places surprising that it was that difficult to find a particular tyre. But they should be well worth it!

It was http://www.etyres.co.uk/ who came with the GSD3 they apologised and said they will stop the money coming out the bank or refund me.

However www.event-tyres.co.uk I spoke to yesterday they had 8 left but they do not come to my area. I have called them back and agreed to meet them about 20 miles away from home. Best thing they come out at £104 each fully fitted. (5% discount for buying 4)

Thanks for you help, I should be sorted in a couple of days :)
