Perimeters...can They Be Added To The Standard Alarm System?

As per title, can them perimeter systems be added to the standard IS alarm system? If so then which perimeter is it worthwhile going for?

perimeter, am i right thinking this is the one, if anyone approaches the car it sounds a warning or flashes lights or something?

I enquired about this when I had my is200, with a local sercurity firm, who advised there would not fit one for anyone, as there get alot of complaints.

he said alot of kids, when there realise the alarm will go off when there are close to the car, there would do it on purpose

yeh mate, just where it chirps once or twice to warn people that its alarmed etc if they get too close to it. did they say it was doable tho with the standard alarm system? i know that perimeters can be turned off or the sensitivity adjusted so suppose if it gets on ur nerves then just turn it down. did they give u a quote?
