Missing Plastic Trim From Rx300 - Do I Really Need Whole Window Replac

Recommended Posts

Hi

The plastic trim that goes around the small triangular window towards the rear of the car fell off on the M4 !

To me, it just looks like I need to get a new trim and clip it back onto where the old one was. However, my Lexus Dealership says that I need a whole new window which includes the trim, and by the way they can't fit it for me if I do buy it. They haven't seen the problem, they just went off my description.

Is this correct, do I really need to buy a new window? I'm not convinced they're correct.

Thanks

looking at the parts list the trim does indeed come with the window, give me your chassis number, and if you know the trim, for the glass colour and ill give you the part number.

but looking at the options , the part is approx £70, and this is what is showing up

Right hand side . P/N 62710-48170 Euro dark grey

Left hand side. P/N 62720-48230 Euro dark grey

i have a mate who is an area manager for Carglass/autoglass, and if you can get to bristol area may be able to fit it for you
