Electric Mirrors

Since all the snow, ice and salt have been around over the past couple of weeks my electric mirrors (is200) have become slow and sometimes reluctant to open. I think it may be something to do with the amount of salt/grit that has been strewn across the motorways here in the midlands but obviously i cant be sure without taking them apart. That brings me to the question  , ive noticed there are 3 screws on the underside of each unit, if i undo these will the unit come off (apart from wiring) to enable me to see inside them? Hopefully its just going to be a case of cleaning them and they will be back to speed again. Any help greatly appreciated.

I just replaced my mirror because it was broken.

The 3 screws on the bottom will take the complete mirror off.

Don't worry, the wires are all together and won't come off too.

If you just need to take off the mirror itself than you have to pull it towards you from the bottom.

It's a click system with two on the bottom and it locks in with two slides on the top.

Good luck with it.

Harry.
