Pick it up Monday:

A 2008 (08) Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi Zetec 5 door, it's in Moondust Silver and fitted with communication pack ( satnav and Bluetooth ) and sports pack ( upgraded alloys and privacy glass ). It's the latest model i.e. 2008-2010 with the big mondeo type grill.

Yes, it's money in the bank to put food on the table, less car tax, and 54 mpg on combined. So an essential no-brainer at the moment.

Exactly why my monster IS200 is sold/for sale (I never say sold until the £'s are in the bank)

Replacing with a 2007 Civic 2.2 Diesel - full leather, sat nav, uprated clutch and a 197BHP conversion. Still does 50MPG, instead of 15 round town and 25 on a run.

I would have kept it if it was a second car, but its not so its gone.

I did a long round trip yesterday to do a bit of business in mostly A and b roads and this is the average .

I never got below 25MPG or above 30MPG on the IS200(2004) when I had her,no matter what I did !!.

I nomally only go around the town these days and average around 30 MPG.

I usually get just over 31mpg with mix of town and a run , not bad for a 6cylinder I think ?
