Hi,

I have recently bought an ex-Demo Lexus RX450h SEL, and I am getting an average of around 26.3 mpg, its much lower than the official figures, I understand the "Test " conditions, but this is way too low.. just wanted to check your experience and any remedial action that you might have taken.. thx for your help.. Rgds., MM

I've had my RX450SE-I for less than a month (currently 1400 miles on the clock from new) and compared even to the Hi-lux I exchanged for it, seem to be spending an awful lot of time at the fuel pumps - but am actually averaging around 33 mpg based on the computer read out. This is also confirmed by mileage against refills on my business log...(it's my company car - low BIK !)

Nowhere near the 'book' figures - but you can do it if you cruise at 60mph...but would you really?

Hi MM,

I feel for you,as I am suffering too.

I have a RX400h which after a month's use mileage went up to 32-33 mpg, i.e. actual not Lexus figure. This has consistently dropped to 24-26mpg. The vehicle has done 17,000 miles and the agent (Marsh Garages) say they get 31mpg (on a dual-carriageway) and I should not compare it to the published figures. I think it is a fault in the hybrid transmission system, due to odd readings on the drive display. Lexus have written to me "we do not want to be involved".
