Clutch Release Problem

Hi everyone!

I dont want this to sound like i abuse my car because i dont, but if i were to say, dump the clutch at 5500rpm, my clutch pedal will not return to its fully up position. It will just stick at the half way up position and I once smelt the clutch burning (I have only done it 3 times). I am not too worried about this as under normal driving it doesnt happen. It is just one of them things that I want to sort out. Any help will be much appreciated.
