Knocking Noise

hi all after changing anti roll arms and track rod ends,ball joints checked still the knocking is there going to have new front shockers fitted this friday lets hope this solves the annoying knocking,which seems to be a common problem

have you done upper and lower balljoints ? as kam said could be droplinks also - also there is a bush in the knuckle which can be at fault and also check brakepads are fitted with copperslip on sliding surfaces and sandwiched in between each shim and pad/piston as tommy20165 has just found a dry set of incorrectly fitted pads with the clips misadjusted have caused him two years worth of little knocks.

Hello mate before you change any thing else change your anti roll bar BUSHES.

I had the same problem with my IS and GS i changed the whole front suspension on me IS changed and in the end it was just bushes. LOL

it will sound like ball joints knocking.

Bushes are about £14 from lexus

Had new shockers fitted today seems to have solved the problem expensive though

WIM set up my geometry mate- I drove from West Yorkshire to WIM (400 mile round trip) to have the geometry set. Take it to WIM, you won't regret it.

dont know if this would help i had well i think its the same this knocking noise it turned out to be a bolt that holds the cliper in place thought it could initialy be a coil had snapped or a drop arm/wishbone was worn but just a simple bolt allso stoped what sonded like my pads were rubbing on my disk dont know if this would help but this was my expirience :) (forgot to add it had fallen out and it ws the upper one of the two)
