Dulled Paintwork

Recommended Posts

Hi ian h,

Basically what mattc said. I'd either pay a professional to detail the car and expect to pay in the region of £300 for a proper paintwork correction. Or hire/buy an orbital polisher, get some Autoglym Super Resin Polish along with a good wax and expect to spend your entire sunday sorting it out.

Here's what 9hrs got me on my Astral black IS300:

Products used were: Orbital Polisher, Merguiars polishing pads, Dodo Juice Lime Prime, Dodo Juice Purple Haze.

hi mate, that looks AWESOME, wrote down your products and will get them and try thanks

No probs mate. If you need any help using them just give me a nudge.

One thing to note about the Lime Prime is that it never 'dries' as such (which is good for use in sun). You just have to keep working it into the paint with the orbital until it goes totally clear and you can hardly see it on the surface. Then its ready to be buffed off.
