Hi everyone. I've owned my IS200 sport for 2 years. Luv the car but could someone tell me if this light should stay on all the time the car is locked, or should it go out after a while? Tried searching but can't find anything.

Regards Chad

It comes on and off with the courtesy lighting mate. Doesn't stay on whilst driving or whilst the car is locked.

Thanks for the quick reply. The thing is this light never goes out and the courtesy light never comes on.

Think i'll have to take a look at the wiring. When i bought the car it had a dvd player mounted where the courtesy light goes.

Maybe a good place to start looking?

Good point, welcome to the club :)

I would say its a solid starting point. Best guess would be someone has been playing with the power feed (badly) to get the DVD player permanent power and in doing so, has tied up the ignition ring light to do the same....

Just a quick update. Managed to get ignition light working properly. Courtesty light on dvd player is for now disconnected from door switches. Until i get more time to sort it all out i just turn light on or off on the dvd player. Not perfect i know, but at least it resolved my original problem. Thanks for replies.

Regards Chad
