Hi.

My is200 Auto has a hard to describe noise that happens from the front brakes when braking. It seems to happen from both sides when the brake pedal is imediately released after braking.

It seems to be a knocking noise of some kind. Has anyone any idea what might be the cause ? The mechanic who serviced it last time says there is nothing to worry about, I cant quite remember

what he said but it was something to do with the lexus caliper design.

Anyone any ideas of what the issue is and a possible fix ? as the noise is starting to ***** me off.

Thanks

Caliper slide pins I'm guessing.

Loads of us LS owners have had the same issue. Takes me about 15 mins each side to re grease them and the knocking goes.

Jason its the pads moving I have just spent the last 6 months trying to get to the bottom of the noise I replaced all the pins boots etc but still had the noise.

I was out there one day a got a flat headed screw driver and put it at the bottom on the pad to see if there was any movement, the pad moved a fair bit so I stripped them down and I have put a small gasket (had an old mini gasket in garage) under the clips that hold the pad in place and now I have no knocking.

I hope this Helps
