Electric Windows Problem.

Recommended Posts

Both front windows and both rear windows used to go down and up at the same rate; which is always nice i think.

But the pasenger 1 is getting very slow and if its dropped right down, it makes a scraping sound on the way up.

not all the way up. From about 4" to 6".

I was wondering if others had experienced this problem and found a cure.

It bothers me that i might drop the window and not be able to close it.

I am on my third LS (a 400 and two 430's) and on all of them the windows have sounded reluctant. Especially the driver door windows which always appear to be really struggling. But they have never yet failed to get there in the end!

Maybe some judiciously applied oil would help, does anyone know?

Thanks for that Chris. Reasuring to know that they dont pack up all together. I was thinking of WD40 on the motor and greesing the channels but im alway reluctant to remove the door cards as they usually end up a bit on the loose side afterwards.
