Radiator Problem

hello,

Can anyone help me, the past few days i had my engine coolant light flash up and go out and while sitting in trafic the temperature has increase. when checking last night found a little hose that has snapped off the back of the radiator....looks like it goes to an exspansion tank but its located on the fan housing? The hose goes from the radiator cap and over the back to fan housing.

Does anyone know if the radiator is seperate or a joint unit to the fan? as i can only see one hose that attaches the radiator to the exspansion tank.

Also a rough idea how much one would cost?

Thanks

Ash

The fans do separate from the radiator itself, but I'm afraid the expansion tank/fan housing is a one piece moulding so if it's broken you'll need a whole new assembly.

However I would look at the possibility of fixing it first, as it won't be cheap to replace...

You could probably get one from a breakers yard though if it's not repairable.

Oh thats what i fort that it wont be cheap lol, it dosent look repairable from what i saw as its snapped right on the part where it joins the tank. but thanks for all the help.

Just had a replacement from a non dealer because of a radiator core problem, £200 plus £80 labour. :(
