I took the car out in the dark for the first time since buying it and noticed the rear courtesy and puddle lights are not working no matter which door was opened. The courtesy lights work if switched on and the manual says the lights should work no matter which door is opened.I believe modern cars have the operating switches built into the door mechanisms. Its raining here this morning so haven't had a chance to look. Any ideas please. Thx.

In the service book there's a stamp from a local garage which includes a timing belt change. Ever the optimist, I took the cover off to check and the belt seems to be new as there's no visible signs of wear and looking at the teeth they still have the 'weave' marks and if it was old I would think they would be worn smooth. Is it an OEM belt or would that have Lexus printed on it. Nice day today so daffyed up the engine bay with 1/2" and 1" paint brush to remove the dirt and dust and Armor All on the black bits and it comes up a nice satin black. At the moment enjoying this car but still looking for OEM wheels (see previous posts). Some of the breaker prices just aren't real with Vat and Carriage adding nearly £100 in some cases.
