Would appreciate help from the resident wheel experts.

250IS Auto 08.

What are the wheel specs. for the car.

Are all 4 rims 17x8JJ or are the fronts 17x7/12JJ.

What is the PCD & offset of the wheels.

Can I fit 200IS wheels which are 16" & up the tyre profile to 55 instead of 45 to retain same rolling circumference.

Wanting to get a set of wheels/tyres for the winter & am finding it very difficult to match up wheels/tyres to suit.

What other wheels, which can possibly be bought 2nd hand, will fit onto this car.

OEMStandard fitting IS250

17" RWD:

Front: 225/45/17, 17x8 +45mm O/S. dia: 633mm/width 222mm. r.p.mile 834

Rear: 245/45/17, 17x8, +45mm O/S. dia: 651mm/width 244mm. r.p.mile 811 (believe that models produced post 2006 were 17x8.5 rears only).

18" RWD :

Front: 225/40/18, 18x8, +45mm

Rear: 255/40/18, 18x8.5, +50mm

The 17" and 16" IS200 rims will fit without modification, but as you say you'll need to adjust the profile depth to match the above within 2%. The IS200 offset is + 50mm and the OEM rims are 7" wide both front and rear.

There's quite a few rims from Toyotas that also fit. Basically most rims with PCD = 114.3mm will fit as long as you check the offsets are within range see http://www.lexusowne...showtopic=11821 for the offset calculator. I've swopped the other way in, that I have the 17" OEM rims from my old IS250 SE-L on my IS200 Sport with Pirelli Sottozero winter tyres.

New Wheels for my 250IS SE.

Have found that dealers selling used alloys want almost as much for them as a new set costs.

My wheels are 17x8JJ. PCD is 114.3. Offset ET is 45mms. Bore is 62mms.

Rather like the Asuka Gun metal wheels RD21 / Inovit Redline.

However they are not advertised in the size I have listed above.

I have just fitted a new set of Hankook tyres so would want to transfer them to any new wheels. They are 225/45 R17 & 245/45 R17.

Can I fit these tyres on 7.5JJ wheels
