Please can anybody explain how to make the heater blow hot when the engine keeps switching to electric mode letting the engine cool down?

Not much help but if the heater is calling for heat the engine should know this and fire up. I would suspect some faulty sensors etc.

Thankyou very much for the reply; a faulty sensor does sounds like the culprit. I'll book it in and have it checked out rather than spending time reading the manual and trying different engine modes.

I have the same issue, it is caused by the ECO mode, if you switch it off the engine will warm up, I find if in traffic and eco mode the engine cools down and the fan stops when stationary, switch it off keeps the engine on till warm and the fans running to keep you toasty !!
