Hi, just had my 97 LS600h in for service at main stealer and requires 4 tyres relatively shortly . They quoted £288! each fitted. Been online and can get Falken 452`s for £148 each or £172.64 fitted by event tyres. The car is fitted with the TPMS and i wonder if the valves can be re used or need to be bought seperately? is it case of "plug and play" or does dealer need to reset after? Thanks

It depends on which make and type of tyres the dealer has quoted you for. Falkens are budget performance tyres not the top spec the dealer may be advising.

Factory fitted with Bridgestone Turanza tyres, Dunlop SP 9000 and Avon ZZ3 tyres are both suitable replacement options. As you have a 400bhp luxury car why compromise on replacement tyres go for the best not budget.

The TPMS valves swop over and the reset procedure should be in your driver handbook.

Having run FK452's on both my old GS300 Sport and my GS430 I would not rate them as budget. I recently put Avon ZZ5's on and they are excellent tyres. All the reviews that I have seen for Avon ZZ3's would not have induced me to even contemplate putting them on my GS430. The ZZ5's however are a totally different kettle of fish......quiet with superb handling and good feedback. I paid £138 per corner fully fitted (245/40/18)

Just had the ls600h tyres replace by a local garage purchased via Blackcircle tyres . Changed the Dunlops (Lexus wanted £288 each ) to Pirelli P zero`s at £139 each fitted. Quite a saving!

There also going to replace disc`s and pads all round for £750inc Vat with geniune Lexus parts (i was there when he rang my local dealer whom quoted a £1000 at a service 2 weeks ago)
