I also have a 2002 SC430, and had the same issue when I first bought it. Battery drained, but held charge when disconnected. Eventually I replaced the Battery, and have had no further problems. Warning though, some web sites sell supposed SC430 batteries that are too tall, so you can't close the bonnet! Measure carefully first. Never seen the issue with the aerial. Good luck...Paul.

Sounds like a Battery to me.

Had a similar problem with an RX8, which in later years could not be left standing for any more that a few days without the Battery becoming very lazy - not good for a rotary engine!

If in doubt, replace with a high capacity Battery that can battle our cold weather, and provide the energy for those gadgets and mod cons we love in our cars!

Could be your ML power-amp in the boot on the fritz.

I had this last august - basically no sound and refused to power down - even when no key in ignition.

Common'ish problem - new poweramp is £1300 to £1700 or buy a recon/2ndhand from eBay (US or UK) for £300 and fit yourself.

Aerial being up makes me think the above - hope its just an 'iffy Battery
