Solar Powered Battery Charger

Can anyone advise as to what output from a solar panel would i need to keep my Battery on my GS300 topped up . On ocassion my car is left parked up for several weeks and the alarm system drains the Battery. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated.

Hello and a late welcome to the LOC sorry only just found your 1st post buried in here.

Most of the Solar chargers have a maximum of 4-5 watts which at 12 volts is around 1/3 of an Amp or say 300mA.

The normal discharge of the Battery is around 35mA so a charger producing this current and taking into account when it's dark it doesn't work should be adequate to keep the Battery topped up.
