what kit have you been looking at please supply a link

the kit i have had is one off eBay HB4 connector works perfect

just had a quick search on the AMP / KET connectors it dose not matter as it is the connection from the ballast to the bulb not from the car loom to the ballast all you would need is a HB4 kit.

Hi!

I am looking for a HID conversion upgrade for my IS200. Now I have found a set without canbus (no problem with a IS200) but with KET connectors instead of AMP. Is this a problem on a IS200?

Gr.

when putting HIDs in a reflector type headlamp you should use anti glare bulbs so that you don't blind other drivers! get this kit http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=3957

or fit a projector lens to provide a full HID experience.

Thnx for the info there. But what exactly is the difference in the kit from your link and mine..? They don't state they use anti glare units. Projectors are indeed very nice, but that is too much modding for me ;-)

difference is assured quality and proven track record:)

The ballasts are also waterproof were as the eBay ones require waterproofing (potting) as its called. They, TheRetrofitSource produce hid bulbs to the exact measurement of the original bulb. So the origin of light is in the correct position for your headlight type.

all other hid conversion kits use a standard hid capsule and just attach it to different bases h1, h7, h4, etc etc. the reflectors and indeed projectors are designed to receive light from an exact position within the headlamp. If the light source as in the filament or Halide salt capsule is off my even a few millimetres it can cause a lot of glare and ghastly output patterns..
