Removing 6 Cd Changer

Recommended Posts

Hi,

has anyone removed your factory cd changer before? I think I have disc stuck inside.

I know how to remove the player itself but wanted to know how to take off the cover and then remove the cds. I read something about when you remove the top cover, some sort of springs will pop out and these are a pig to replace. Any advice?

Thanks.

Got the deck out and plug it in again and now it works...

I got the dreaded Error 4 in the beginning thus took the deck out.

Now i only load 1 cd out of 6, read somewhere that it's when you have all 6 cds in the deck it will cause Error 4 more often owning to the fact that the stereo sometime try to load 2 cds in one slot. I always get Error 4 when changing cds.

People also suggest loading alternate cd slots i.e. 1 3 5 or 2 4 6. Can anyone tell me how you load cds in that manner?

Thanks.
