So i have realised i have a problem with my 2001 lexus is200, in 2nd -4th gear when you put your foot down do overtake or just to speed up the car revs and the engine gets noisier but the car doesn't seem to move quick at all and sometimes judders, would this be a misfire or new clutch?

Maybe something else, just wondered if anyone could help or have any idea's as i cant get it into the garage i normally use for a couple of days

Sounds like the clutch, has your fuel consumption increased ?? if so that's a good indicator that you have a problem.

What sort of mileage has the car done as the mass flywheel maybe on it's way out.

fuel consumption is poor, i knew it would be bad but its really poor, car had done 121k miles, its in the garage tuesday but i wanted to prepare myself for a shock ha ha

any idea how much a flywheel is for the is200? i heard its costly?
